https://vimeo.com/497319861 Since its 1914 debut, the Boston Fish Pier has continued to pull in loads of fish each morning while the downtown skyline around it changed. In an effort to preserve the neighborhood’s maritime history, Massport, the agency that has owned the pier since 1972, has thrown a line to the local fishing industry in recent years, keeping rents well below what new development projects in the Seaport typically fetch and funneling money into the maintenance of the 106-year-old wharf.

After local Long Beach violinist Jordan Busa lost the ability to perform live concerts due to the coronavirus pandemic, Busa began playing 25-minute “porch-side” concerts for $10 as a way to earn a little extra cash. Busa was one of the first musicians in the city to offer outdoor mini-concerts, as he began his enterprise in April. Within the first week of advertising online, through social media, he booked over 80 performances and hasn’t stopped since. What the musician could have never expected was the immense response from the community and their gratitude to him, for offering a small moment of joy and normalcy during a time filled with so much uncertainty.

Colorado residents are howling at 8pm nightly in support of healthcare workers and people who have passed away from COVID-19.
