TEXT FOR ALL 9 PICTURES: Vibe is 7 years old. In 2007 it was diagnosed that she has a brain tumor. Because of the location of the tumor it is not possible to surgically remove it, so instead Vibe has received 30 radiation treatments, four chemotherapy treatments, and three high dosage chemotherapy treatments. She and her father Michael, mother Helle, and sister Laerke is living in Hundested, Denmark. She gets her treatments in Rigshospitalet, the main hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark. Children get other types of cancer than adults. For example Leukemia and brain tumors are common with children, while they almost never get lung cancer or breast cancer. Brain tumors are the most common with children. Every year there are around 40 new cases of brain tumors with children in Denmark. ––––-TEXT FOR THIS PICTURE: Vibe in a picture from before she got sick.
