The Roanoke Times’ “Land of Opportunity” took first place in the News Photo Gallery for Smaller Affiliated Sites. Josh’s images were able to capture the intimacy of the community and their daily lives of their small Mexican town. It was the clear winner of this category. Time’s “Tiger Territory” displayed several beautiful images but failed to capture the familiarity of the people as “Land of Opportunity.”
