"LA Football", a story about a southern Louisiana high school football team after Katrina, was an exceptionally-edited piece. It contains good natural sound and great shot selection throughout. The editor made great storytelling decisions to tell this 1st Placestory.

The editor of "Two Minutes and Thirty Seconds" created a well-paced piece about a cheerleading competition. Good use of natural sound and shot variety kept this story moving well. A solid effort.

"Unstoppable in South Florida" was different in that the editor put the story of a high school football game together using footage from multiple cameras. Great on-field action was punctuated with good sideline natural sound from coaches exhorting their players to win. Good, but subtle use of music helped this pace this story. A very good piece.

The winning entry had good attention to detail. The reaction shots were well placed, the shots accompanied the script well, and the nat sound was the right amount for the story. I really liked the contrast in the beginning of the loud, noisy football game to the quiet devastation of the area. The duration and the silence of first shot of the devastation was very nice.

"2:30" was fun to watch. It had good reaction shots, nice moments and good timing. I thought this editor took some chances with some of the sequences of the cheerleaders performing and made it work.

"Unstoppable in South Florida" was unique highlights wrap up of local football. The use of music was good, the edits of the plays and the reactions were very good, and it kept me entertained the whole the time. The style of this was quite impressive.
