Rich St. Pierre takes a photo of his wife Carolynne after they both had their heads shaved. Carolynne’s friend, Ellie Duhaime (right) who was there for support, checks the makeup she had just applied to Carolynne. Rich and Carolynne St. Pierre have accepted that Carolynne’s liver cancer is terminal. But they are doing everything possible to ensure that Carolynne, 44, won’t be forgotten, especially by her youngest son, EJ, 4. Rich lost his mother at a young age and struggles with the prospect of single parenthood. He tries his hardest to prepare for Carolynne’s inevitable death, but he knows that “a sea of grief is coming.”
