Tungurahua, an active Ecuadorian Volcano, lets out a huge cloud of smoke over the destroyed pueblo of Palictahua at sunset on October 20, 2006. On August 16, 2006 Tungurahua erupted killing six people and devastating all the pueblos surrounding the active volcano. In the last few days Tungurahua has been creating huge mushroom clouds of ash leading to large scale evacuations. Experts say that an eruption much more powerful than the eruption in August is likely to happen in the near future.
