HARTFORD—4/28/06—Hartford Police Sgt. Norm Godard, right, chases Jaquan Leggett of Hartford onto a front porch on Magnolia Street Friday evening April 28. Police officers approached Leggett at an apartment complex on Vine Street and he ran from them, they said, dropping some drugs along the way. Godard was in his cruiser on patrol and saw the young man dashing through the back yards and jumped out of his car just as Leggett rounded the corner of this home. When he was arrested he had about 34 grams of crack cocaine and five bags of marijuana on him, police said.
