Honorable Mention: City Circus Battles for Olympus; City Circus is one of the six package produced by our student publication under 1001words.org. The City Circus program, a branch of San Francisco-based non-profit organization Acrosports performs all around the San Francisco Bay Area. Their show, Battle of Olympus, ran in SF from April 29 - May 8, 2005, at the Project Artraud Theatre.
Judge's Comments (Andrew): An honorable mention was given to 1001words.org's “City Circus Battles for Olympus.” Unfortunately, the almost unbearable wait we had to endure while downloading the package hurt this student's presentation. The judges also noted how the story progressively improved chapter after chapter. It seemed obvious that the journalist grew more comfortable with the characters over time, and it showed in the pictures and audio.
