2nd Place: The Ardoyne suicides; "The Ardoyne suicides" tells the story of a spate of suicides that took place in the small community of Ardoyne in the northern outskirts of Belfast, NI.
Judge's Comments (Andrew): 2nd place went to Fotoco.dk’s “Ardoyne Suicides.” Though the site suffered from very long downloads and other technical issues when the Flash piece would get stuck, the overall photos story was compelling and presented thoughtfully throughout the package. The judges felt that the images successfully captured the mood of the story.
