Mike Thompson hugs his assigned dog, Zowie, a black labrador mix, inside the his living quarters at the Lee County Jail in Fort Myers, Fla. Thompson was chosen as a participant in the cell dog rehabilitation program because his family has raised show dogs and he has extensive background in training them.
