"Mother" Annie Mae Perry, an institution in the African-American community in Naples, Fla., prays for her family and friends who have come to celebrate with her for her 95th birthday party. "I had five children. I think I've got but 15 grandchildren," Perry says, but loses count with the greats, the great-greats, and the great-great-greats. Perry was a licensed mid-wife in Collier County for 25 years where she delivered 514 babies of all races. "I loved them the same. I felt like they all were mine," Perry says.
