That these people died just for no reason. They were innocent people. So we built this memorial for them. This will always be here and in our hearts. It will never go. Everyday. Some day I’d love to meet one of these people’s people. I do it because I hope that somebody that lost a person will know they won’t be forgotten- at least not here in Flint. They’ll be remembered here," she said.
