Polar Nights in Northern Russia, January 2005.
A scrap metal plant outside Murmansk on the coast of the Barents Sea. On the Kola Peninsula 135 nuclear reactors from 71 decommissioned submarines have been stored in barely guarded dumps and on old freighters or else simply sunk to the bottom of the sea. Taken at 2.30pm.
