Any photographer who gets attacked by a snake on assignment deserves an award, especially when he produces a portfolio of pictures as strong as this. I wish that the pix of humans were as good as the animals. This project is a strong story, taking readers into the Pantanal with some incredible photographs that show both the wild life and the lives of the people in the area.
