SECRET WEAPON Described as his "secret weapon", First Lady Laura Bush has remained largely in her husband's shadow. But with an approval rating 20 points higher than the President, the Bush campaign deployed her to do what she does best: make undecided voters fall in love with her. She stayed poised and on message, while juggling her roles as political operative, Presidential confidant and mother to sometimes strong willed daughters. At the end of a twelve hour day spent campaigning, First Lady Laura Bush stretches her legs while sitting behind President Bush during a Victory 2004 rally at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
